So I have decided to make the plunge to vegan. It's not something I've always thought about doing; rather, it came to me one day as I tried to figure out what I could/wanted to sacrifice for Lent.

Don't get it twisted though! I am not a super religious person, although I do believe in The Creator and I appreciate a good bible story every now and then especially the one where Jesus wandered through the desert for 40 days and nights being tempted by a serpent (Matthew 4:1-11). The fact that he was able to have a strong will power and stay true to his convictions is something I found admirable and thus desired to emulate.

I've given up meat before but never before have I given up animal bi-products (i.e Dairy, eggs etc) , fish and crustaceans until now. I began my vegan journey on the first day of Lent (February 10th) and will continue on until the last day of Lent (March 23rd) or even longer than that if I feel like it.

ANNNNNDDD, since I've been under-utilizing this space of mine, I figure I might as well post my thoughts, discoveries, recipes and vegan food spots on the blog. Wouldn't you like that??

I'm really excited about adding my vegan experiences to the blog! I hope that I am able to provide you with inspiration and if you want to check out what I'm loving on Pintrest, check out my "Vegan Eats" board HERE

Until next time homies!

Peace.
